She is the daughter of Jarnette “Jarnie” , a personal manager, and David “Dave” Olsen, a real estate developer and mortgage banker who was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She is Gemini and the twin sister of Mary-Kate Olsen whose an actress and fashion designer too. She has older brother named Trent Olsen and the younger sister who become an actress too named Elizabeth Olsen.
