Christina Milian made her first appearance as a singer in the second album from rapper Ja Rule, doing backing vocals in the song Between Me and You. Through collaboration with Ja Rule, she signed with Def Soul label. She went to Sweden where she recorded her first album, Christina Milian, released in October 2001 in the UK.In 2002, Christina Milian broke her contracts with two labels Def Soul and Island Records and collaborated with UK rapper MC Romeo on the song It’s All Gravy.
She then worked with Hilary Duff for her album, Santa Claus Lane on the song I Heard Santa On The Radio.After the worldwide release of her first album, she collaborated with producers like Paul Polli, Darkchild, Bloodshy and Avant, Cory Rooney, Warryn Campbell and Bryan-Michael Cox. On 13 July 2004, she released her second album, It’s About Time, the first single was Dip It Low. She then released a second single in collaboration with Joe Budden, Whatever U Want.
on May 16, 2006 released her third album, So Amazin ‘, the first single is I Say in collaboration with the rapper Young Jeezy. After leaving Def Jam label, she released her first compilation album The Best Of Christina Milian.In February 2012, she signed a contract with Lil Wayne’s label.She then also become a contestant on Dancing with the Stars (season 17) on September 2013.
