Daniela Ruah began her career by appeared in Portuguese soap operas and got the bigger role at the age of 16 when appeared in soap opera Jardins Proibidos (“Forbidden Gardens”). After coming back from London to hone her acting skill, Ruah joined the reality show Dança Comigo (the Portuguese version of Dancing with the Stars). She then spread her career by moving to New York and stole people attention when portrayed Special Agent Kensi Blye in NCIS: Los Angeles. She then being a guest star on the series Hawaii Five-0.
