Debra Lynn Messing is an American actress, the daughter of Sandra who has worked as a professional singer, banker, travel and real estate agent, and Brian Messing, a sales executive for a costume jewelry. Messing was born in Brooklyn borough of New York City and has Jewish ancestry. She moved to East Greenwich, Rhode Island at the age of three with the whole family. Messing found her interest in art when he was attending East Greenwich, Rhode Island. She then continued her study to Brandeis University and get the scholarship to hone his acting skill in at the prestigious London-based British European Studio Group program. She was graduated with summa cum laude from Brandeis University with a bachelor’s degree in theater arts and then she gained admission to the elite Graduate Acting Program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She was earned her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts after three years study there.
