Jessica Simpson began her singing career by joining a minor Gospel music record label and recorded the album entitled Jessica that unfortunately never released due the record label then going to bankrupt. Lucky for her, Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola heard Jessica and call her for the audition. Her luck seems getting opened and she released some singles like “I Wanna Love You Forever”, “Where You Are”, and “I Think I’m in Love with You”.

Her second album entitled Irresistible also received mostly positive review. She then launched her third studio album entitled In This Skin, that was released on August 19, 2003. Beside that Jessica Simpson also appeared in several films like The Dukes of Hazzard, Employee of the Month and Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous.
