Margaret LeAnn Rimes Cibrian or better known with the stage name as LeAnn Rimes is an American country and pop singer. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi as the only child of Wilbur Rimes and Belinda Butler. Her sun sign is a Virgo and then moved to Garland, Texas when she was six with the entire family. Rimes hobby is dancing so she attending in vocal and dance classes. Her talent was interest many talent scouts but she then discovered by Dallas disc jockey and record promoter Bill Mack. She then signed to Curb Records and released her first studio album, called Blue in 1996. It as peaked number ten on the Billboard Country Chart and has been sold 123,000 copies in its first week. Beside that Rimes also became the youngest person to win a Grammy, for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Rimes then changed her recording label to Nor Va Jak label in 1997. She then released compilation of previously recorded material called Unchained Melody: The Early Years. Received positive review from it, Rimes then released her follow-up studio album to Blue titled You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs. Again it received positive review and then sold over four million copies in the United States. Its lead single “How Do I Live”, reaching number two in Billboard Hot 100.
She then released her third album called Sittin’ on Top of the World in May 1998. The album again gained positive review and then debuted at number two on the Top Country Albums chart, and number three on the Billboard 200. She then released her fourths self titled album LeAnn Rimes, in October 1999 with the single “Big Deal” that gives her international recognition more. In the mid 2002, Rimes then released er fifth studio album titled Twisted Angel. The album then received mainly negative reviews by most music critics. Its single “Life Goes On”, has only reached the Top 40 only on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. Rimes tries to make up everything by released Greatest Hits compilation in November that commercially success and then peaked at Number 3 on the Top Country Albums chart. She then also released second greatest hits album, The Best of LeAnn Rimes, internationally in February.
Rimes then released her next album called This Woman, in January 2005. The album become Rimes’s best-selling album in over five years. She then also released the studio album Whatever We Wanna, in the summer 2006. The album brought three lead singles that are “And It Feels Like”, a duet with Brian McFadden titled, “Everybody’s Someone” and “Strong”. Rimes again released her next album called Family in October 2007. Its single he duet with Bon Jovi, “Til We Ain’t Strangers Anymore” received positive review and the album itself earn her a nomination for he Academy of Country Music’s “Top Female Vocalist” award in 2008. In 2010, through her Twitter account, Rimes announced that she will released new studio album titled Lady & Gentlemen. Its single “Give”, debuted at No. 60 in July 2011. She then also released the new studio album called Spitfire. It was sold 0,798 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 36 on the Billboard 200 chart.
