She is the daughter of Polish-born foreign policy expert and former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, from Polish Brzeziński Szlachta, and Swiss-born sculptor Emilie Anna Benešová. Mika Brzezinski began her career as a journalist as an assistant in the program World News This Morning on ABC in 1990. The following year, he moved to television affiliated with FOX and owned by the Tribune WTIC-TV in Hartford, Connecticut.In 1992 it passed to CBS, affiliated to WFSB-TV (also based in Hartford) and quickly advanced a position to become its anchorwoman during the morning news in 1995.
