Onika Tanya Maraj better known with her stage name Nicki Minaj was born in Saint James, a suburb of Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago to Carol and Robert Maraj. She has Indian and Afro-Trinidadian ancestry. After divorced, little Nicki Minaj and her mom then moved to Queens borough of New York City where she attended P.S 045 Clarence Witherspoon School.
