Sara Lynn Evans is an American country music singer and songwriter, the eldest girl of seven children. She was born under Aquarius sun sign in Boonville, Missouri and was raised on a farm near New Franklin, Missouri. At the age of seven, she started to sang for the family band and she began performing at a nightclub near Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 16.

Evans’s first album, entitled Three Chords and the Truth, did not reach the Top Hot Country Songs. The following titles have done the same with No Place That Far (1998) Born to Fly (2000) Restless (2003) and Real Fine Place (2005). No Place That Far is certified gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), while the other three albums were certified platinum. In 2007 after getting divorced with her husband, Sara Evans was sued by her ex nanny. The nanny of her children claimed that Evans has accused her having affair with her ex husband without any prove. The nanny sued her for $3 million and the case was settled in July 2009 for $500,000.
