Before having this kind of surgery, you might want to know about septoplasty surgery risk and complication that you never realize before. Septoplasty is usually done on an outpatient basis, using local or general anesthesia. Patients should tell their doctor about current medical conditions and medications that are used, if any.
Patients may be asked to avoid the use of certain medications, such as aspirin, for two weeks prior to surgery. Smoking and alcohol consumption should be avoided.
