Eilleen Regina Edwards or public knows her more as Shania Twain is a Canadian country music singer-songwriter who was born in Windsor, Ontario. She is the daughter of Sharon and Clarence Edwards who divorced and she was moved to Timmins with her mother and her two other sisters. Her mother then remarried again to Jerry Twain, an Ojibwa. Since childhood, Shania Twain should deal with the shortage food in her house and the fight between her parents. She then started working as a singer for the local bar at the age of eight. She was also educated at Timmins High and Vocational School in Timmins.

Shania Twain began her career as the vocalist for the local band when she was still in school. She then asked to be the cover for the singer Diane Chase and follow her tour around Ontario. But she then got a chance to released her own self-titled debut album that was released on in 1993 in North America but it quite disappoint her. Wont give up, Shania Twain then released her second album called The Woman in Me on February 7, 1995. Its single, “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?” managed stay at No.11 on the Billboard Country Chart and was sold more than 12 million copies in 2007.
Shania Twain then released her follow-up album, Come On Over with its lead single “You’re Still the One” brought her name to international popularity. Not only that, the other single “From This Moment On” also establish her name as one of the best country singer at that time. The album was managed to sold about 40 million copies worldwide. She was received Best Country Song and Best Female Country Performance. Following her success, she then released her third studio album Up!The album was managed to sold about 874,000 in the first week alone.
Shania Twain then released her greatest best album in 2004 and till 2012, it was managed to sold over 4.15 million copies in the U.S only. In 2009, she was announced will be released her next album soon but was delayed due no apparent reason. But again in 2014, Shania Twain announced she will released her album soon and it was included some new songs to fills it.

Shania Twain dated and then married to producer Robert “Mutt” Lange on December 28, 1993 and blessed with son named Eja who was born in 2001. On May 15, 2008, it was reported that Shania Twain divorced her husband after knowing that he was cheated with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. After passed through hard life and depression, Shania Twain then dated again with Marie-Anne Thiébaud’s ex husband, Frédéric Thiébaud . The couple then married on January 1, 2011 in Rincón, Puerto Rico.
